2026 Notice of Annual General Meeting of Kiteboarding Western Australia Incorporated and Season Opening BBQ 

I am delighted to invite you to KWA’s Season Opening BBQ and Annual General Meeting (AGM), with plenty of time for drinks, catch-ups and discussions. Get ready for the summer and join us on Thursday, 17 September 2026, at the Fremantle Surf Life Saving Club, 20 Leighton Beach Blvd, North Fremantle.

  • 17:00 — BBQ and drinks commence. No need to bring anything – all food and drinks are sponsored by Wingways
  • 18:30 — Kite and Wing Trends 2026, presented by Darren Marshall from Action Sports
  • 19:00 — Annual General Meeting of Kiteboarding Western Australia Incorporated, trading as Kite & Wing Western Australia (KWA)
  • 19:30 — More BBQ, drinks, discussions and catch-ups
  • 21:00 — Event concludes

At the meeting, the Board will ask you to:

  • Accept the minutes of the last AGM
  • Accept the Annual Report
  • Accept the Annual Financial Statements
  • Discharge the Board for the financial year 2025/2026
  • Elect the current Directors for another term
  • Elect new Directors
  • Join us for drinks and a BBQ to launch our new brand, ‘Kite & Wing WA’
  • Provide constructive input and ideas for a bright KWA future!

Call for Board Member / Head of Events & Participation
To ensure balanced representation, the Board is seeking nominations from an entrepreneurial and communicative member to step forward for a position on the Board.

We are specifically looking for someone who would enjoy leading the activities of the Events & Participation Sub-Committee, has the time to volunteer, and has a passion for the sport. This is an opportunity to get involved, contribute to the development of our events and participation programs, and help strengthen our leadership team.

Please find further information in the attached position descriptions.

Nominations must be submitted in writing using the Nomination Form, which can be found here, and signed by nominators who are fully paid-up individual members.

Nominees must also attach a current Curriculum Vitae (CV) to the Nomination Form.
