KWA Secures Ongoing Support Through CITS Industry Investment Program

Kiteboarding Western Australia is proud to announce that we have once again secured funding through the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport (CITS) Industry Investment Program for 2026-27. KWA has been awarded $50,000 in recognition of its performance as a state sporting organisation and its achievement of the Women in Leadership Target.

This funding represents more than financial support. It reflects a longstanding partnership with CITS that has helped KWA grow from a volunteer-driven organisation into a strong and sustainable sporting community delivering events, participation programs, safety initiatives, education opportunities and athlete pathways across Western Australia. Through continued investment, KWA has been able to expand opportunities for kiters and wingers of all ages and abilities while strengthening governance, volunteer development and organisational capability.

We would like to sincerely thank CITS for its ongoing support of our sport and community. Their commitment to sport and recreation in Western Australia has played a significant role in helping KWA evolve, innovate and create more opportunities for members, schools, officials, instructors and volunteers. As participation in both kiteboarding and wing foiling continues to grow, this support provides a strong foundation for the next stage of development.

We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to work alongside CITS to deliver great experiences on and off the water for the Western Australian kiting and winging community.
